To fight hunger and social vices through massive farming and skill acquisition, the General Overseer of Answer of God Bible Ministries Incorporated, Ezira, in Orumba South Local Government Area, Pastor Stephen Okoli, has empowered thirty people comprising members and nonmembers of the church with three million two hundred and fifty thousand naira under the “Answer of God Farmers Empowerment Foundation”.
Handing over cheque for the money to the President General of Ezira Improvement Union, Mr. Moses Akam, during Sunday church service at Ezira, Pastor Okoli, who thanked those supporting the church for making possible the third phase of the gesture aimed at touching lives positively, said more will keep coming as God provides.
Expressing appreciation for the human capital development effort after receiving the cheque, the President General of Ezira Improvement Union, Mr. Akam, who noted that Pastor Okoli had in the past spent over six million naira on empowerment, urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the monies, saying that he will monitor their uses, while some of the beneficiaries, including the Chairman of Obiletiti kindred, Ezira Mr. Promise Chukwuedo, Mrs Anastacia Igwegbe , thanked the pastor for touching people’s lives positively for the past nineteen years by lifting them out of poverty.
Of the three million two hundred and fifty thousand naira, one person received two hundred thousand naira for skill acquisition, three people received one hundred and fifty thousand naira each, and twenty-six others received one hundred thousand naira each for farming.
