The award of “Honorary Doctorate on Public Health and Nutritional Advocacy” to the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Nonye Soludo, by the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has been described as long overdue; given the impact of her “Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo” initiative.
At the combined convocation ceremony of the University, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Kate Omenugha, conferred the honorary doctorate on Mrs Soludo; as a nod to her outstanding contributions to health and nutritional advocacy in Anambra State.
Speaking on the impact of “Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo” initiative, a patron of Governor Soludo’s Support Group, Chief Patrick Orjiakor, said the honor is long overdue for the woman he described as a performer and great mother, and that the school was right in honouring her.
Contributing, an aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial District, Mr Ebuka Onunkwo, described healthy living as another word for holiness and worth emulating, noting that it aligns with his philosophy of life and for the people of his area.
