In a concerted effort to enhance literacy among school children, the Anambra State government through the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission and Universal Learning Solutions have launched a comprehensive Jolly Phonics training programme for teachers across the state.
Speaking during the exercise, the ASUBEB Chairman, Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, emphasized the significance of Jolly Phonics in improving literacy levels among pupils in both primary and junior secondary schools even as she praised the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for its continued support in sponsoring training initiatives.
The Training Manager for the Anambra Chapter, Engineer Innocent Nwosu, described Jolly Phonics as a fun and engaging method that helps children learn how to read and write more effectively.
