The European Union has said that it will defend its interests after United States President Donald Trump threatened to impose a fifty-percent tariff on all goods from the twenty-seven member bloc.
The EU’s top trade official, Maros Sefcovic, said in a post on X that he spoke with the US Trade Representative, Jamieson Greer and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on the issue.
