The Nigerian Bar Association Anambra State Chapter has protested the murder of their colleague Barrister Ifeanyi Rolex Iloakasia whose death occurred on 19th May 2025, along Ekwulobia-Nanka road.
Addressing the press at the Judiciary Headquarters Awka, the Chairman, Committee of Chairmen and Secretaries of NBA Anambra State Chapter, Barrister Kevin Abonyi lamented how their members have always been targeted by criminals, and pointed out a similar incident that took the life of another of their colleague late Barrister Awa last year, regretting that till now the killers have not been arrested.
Barrister Abonyi vowed to closely monitor the investigation of murder of late Iloakasia to ensure that it is not compromised, adding that he will forward a formal petition to Inspector-General of police and Director General of the Department of State Services, demanding for a high-powered security tax force to be deployed to Anambra State.
