Court In Ghana Jails Nigerian Hairdresser For Human Trafficking

The Achimota Circuit Court in Ghana has sentenced a twenty-two-year-old hairdresser, Nicky Isabella, to five years in prison with hard labour for trafficking two young Nigerian women into prostitution under the guise of employment.

The sentenced was given by her honour Akosua Anokyewaa Adjepong at the Achimota Circuit Court.

Isabella was found guilty on two counts of human trafficking and one count of conspiracy.

Isabella deceived the victims, aged twenty-two and twenty-three, by promising them supermarket jobs in Adjiringanor, Accra.
