The project, executed as part of Honourable Okpaleke’s constituency interventions, was commissioned by the Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who was represented by the Chairman, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, Associate Professor Vera Nwadinobi.
Speaking at the event, Honourable Okpaleke said the initiative was born out of the need to provide students especially the girl child—with access to proper sanitation and emphasized that access to basic amenities is a right, and expressed gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his impactful educational policies and ongoing developmental efforts in Aguata and the entire state.
In her remarks, ASUBEB Chairman, Associate Professor Nwadinobi thanked the lawmaker for the timely intervention, describing it as a valuable support to the Governor’s free education policies, while the traditional ruler of Uga, Igwe Chidi Ezenwugo, and the President General of Uga, Nze Romanus Umenze, commended Honourable Okpaleke and said Uga is enjoying the dividends of democracy through his representation.
In their reaction, the Principal of Girls High School, Uga, Dr. Grace Umezinwa, lauded the project.
