Trump Election: Italian Island Town Offers Asylum To Unsettled Americans

A small town on the Italian island of Sardinia, Ollolai, is extending an invitation to Americans unsettled by the outcome of the recent US presidential election which saw Donald Trump re-elected.

The town, which has been battling decades of depopulation, is offering dilapidated homes for as little as one euro to entice new residents.

Mayor of the town of Ollolai, Francesco Columbu, told newsmen that a new website has been launched specifically to attract American expatriates.
