Members of Nri Community in Anaocha Council Area, irrespective of political affiliations, trooped out en-mass at Eke Nri square to welcome their wife and Deputy Governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the November 8th Anambra Governorship election, Senator Uche Ekwunife, whom they said meant so much to them because of her human heart and selfless services to people.

Correspondent, Amaka Onwuzulike reports that at the event, the Immediate past President General of Nri and Chairman of the occasion, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunem, stated that as stakeholders in the community, they deemed it necessary to welcome Senator Ekwunife home to show her love, support and readiness to join in the race so as to see her succeed because to them she is over qualified and having laid down gigantic structures and unnumbered development projects while at the National Assembly, they are optimistic that at this stage, she will perform better. Baring her mind, the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Senator Ekwunife, said the honour shows that it is not her race alone but that of entire Nri community, even as she stated that political party does not develop anywhere; rather personality, adding that with her antecedents, she was graciously nominated for the position, and promised to do more if elected.

In his remark, the APC Governorship candidate for the November 8th Anambra election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, who noted that whatever one does in life speaks for him or her, described Senator Ekwunife as the best candidate to work with, and Ndi Nri as a people who have integrity and eyes for the good things of life that would better the lots of everyone.
