The Mayor of Orumba North Local Government Area, Barrister Casmir Nwafor says twenty six years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria has resulted in steady development of Anambra State.
Commenting on the gains of democracy in the last twenty six years, the Orumba North Mayor expressed joy that the country has recorded successful transition from one government to another, especially in Anambra State where the people of the state are now enjoying the dividends of democracy.
He commended the harmonious relationship existing between the eight Anambra State House of Assembly, the Executive and the Judiciary that has resulted in rapid development of the state.
The Orumba North Mayor who noted that Nigeria is moving forward even though the country has not attained the democratic height envisioned, urged leaders to always uphold the tenets of democracy for the nation to attain unprecedented development.
