A former President General of Achalla Improvement Union, Dr Charles Okadigbo, has assured people of the community that unity, peace and development will soon be restored in the area.
Speaking while launching his campaign to contest the coming town union election, Dr Okadigbo said he is coming to liberate the community from various challenges holding it hostage by working closely with the traditional ruler, women wing, youths and other stakeholders to restore peace, stability and sustainable development, and thanked Governor Chukwuna Soludo for providing access road, electricity and other social amenities in the community, assuring him of total support in the coming Governorship election to complete his vision for the state.

In his speeches, the Traditional Ruler of the community, Igwe Sunny Nwokedi, represented by the Traditional Prime Minister and former member of Anambra State Assembly, Honourable, John Nwokoye said the traditional institution was in full support of the aspirations of Dr Okadigbo, noting that he was the only candidate that informed the cabinet of his intention
Igwe Nwokedi noted that Dr Okadigbo has remained in fore front in attracting and initiating various development projects.

Also speaking, a former Chairman of Awka North Local Government Council, Mr Lawrence Onwuzuka, recalled the numerous contributions of Dr Okadigbo, even after he was wrongly denied reelection.
Mr Onwuzuka urged stakeholders in the community to give Dr Okadigbo total support in the coming town union election to enable them forged a united front that would accelerate overall development of the town.
In their various contributions at the event that featured cultural dances and displays, the National President of True Covenant of God Sabbath Mission Worldwide, Bishop Raphael Egbuna, former President General of the community, Mr Boniface Chigbo, and a community stakeholder, Chief Samuel Nweke, expressed confidence that Dr Okadigbo would bring a new dawn to the community.
