In memory of the late Senator Annie Okonkwo, and in continuing his legacy in education, the Annie Okonkwo Foundation has organized 2025 career seminar in Awka, with students from different secondary schools in the state.
Anambra State Governor’s wife, Dr Nonye Soludo, represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, and the Chairman, Post Primary Schools Services Commission, PPSSC Awka, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, represented by Dr Uche Okeke, urged participants to make good use of opportunities TAOF presents and to be time conscious, disciplined and intentional about their choices of course of study.


Describing the event as a way of living in the late Senator’s vision, the Chairperson, Board of Trustees of TAOF, Mrs Chinyere-Annie Okonkwo, narrated how at the age of eighteen the late Senator’s education was cut short because of his father’s death, urging students to work hard and smart.

Some of the participants, including the Senior Prefect of Ezi-Awka Community Secondary School, Awka, Michael Okoye, Chinecherem Ezenwa; from Women Education Center, Awkuzu, and Favor Ogbuzuru; from Metu Memorial Secondary School, Onitsha, thanked TAOF for making positive impacts in their lives through the programme.
