Diocese On The Niger Synod: Christians Urged To Be Selfless, Shun False Doctrine

It was a spirit-lifting atmosphere at Saint Barnabas Anglican Church, Ojoto as the Diocese on the Niger, held the first session of their thirty-third Synod.

Speaking on the theme of the synod “Christ in you the hope of glory” the Archbishop and Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba emphasized the importance of Christians living a life that reflects God’s glory.

Delivering his charge at the synod, the Bishop on the Niger, Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo highlighted the progress the Diocese has recorded so far and urged Christians to be selfless in their service to God and humanity, and cautioned against false doctrine, especially those promoting prosperity without repentance.   

The Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim who commended the success story of the diocese, especially in education, urged the synod delegates to apply the theme of the synod in daily lives for their own benefit.
