Some Stakeholders In Anambra Commend Tinubu’s Reforms After Two Years

Some citizens of Anambra State have lauded the economic and local government reforms President Bola Tinubu has put in place to improve the welfare of Nigerians.

Speaking on the two years administration of President Tinubu in Awka, the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barrister Chinedu Ononiba, observed that the removal of fuel subsidy has eased financial burden on the Federal Government and enabled it invest revenue generated from the subsidy removal into projects that will boost the nation’s economy and fast-rack the development of the country. The Njikoka Local Government Mayor appreciated President Tinubu for rolling out social intervention programmes which include the ninety-five-point-six billion approved for the student loan scheme, and a new national minimum wage of seventy thousand naira, even as he urged the President to fulfil his promise of integrating Anambra into the National Rail Master Plan, as it will help the state’s transportation system.

On his part, a Current Affairs Analyst, Dr Akachukwu Mmaduakolam, urged the President to be more committed in prudent management of resources, provide a railway system that will be able to cut down transportation cost and cushion the effect of subsidy removal on Nigerians, which he said is critical for national development and in saving a little portion of the meagre resources paid an average worker.
