In an effort to harmonize mining operations in Anambra through stakeholders’ synergy, and following stipulated guidelines and laws, the Miners Association of Nigeria, MAN, has inaugurated the state leadership of the body.
In his address at the event held in Awka, the National President of Miners Association of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Ayanleke, explained that the association has diverse membership of both individuals and companies involved in mineral exploration in Nigeria, adding that MAN is at the fore front of ensuring a level playing field for miners, government, host communities and all.
In his remark, the Anambra State Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Anthony Ifeanya, pointed out that the inauguration of the state executive members of the association will ensure a turnaround in mining operations in the state through a streamlined process for all players, as well check illegalities by persons and entities.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of others, the newly inaugurated state Chairman of the association, Sir Damian Onyekachi, thanked the Anambra State Government and other stakeholders for their efforts in bringing changes in the state mining sector, which he said will unlock potential and ensure that guidelines are followed.
