on the theme; “Ethical Leadership, Security and Sustainable Development” at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium of his alma mater, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka,  stressed the need for ethical leadership that transcends mere transactional interactions, insisting on a commitment to responsibility without excuses, an approach he deemed “dangerous and costly” if neglected.

Governor Soludo equally called for the establishment of a ‘Code of Conduct’ to uphold ethical standards in the university, and urged politicians to respect academic institutions’ independence, warning against the manipulation of merit based systems that could undermine human dignity.

In his speech, the Chairman of Ethics, AI, and Higher Education Strategy Team, Professor Casimir Ani, who said that higher education in Nigeria is going through a lot of stress, noted that the vision of the university must be kept alive, noting that Anambra is truly rising under Governor Soludo.

In recognition of his contributions to ethical leadership and sustainable development, Governor Soludo was at the event inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Fellow, an honor he graciously accepted amid presentations of gifts from the university community.
