The immediate past Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for awarding the contract for the construction of the six-point-nine kilometers Ogboji- Ndiokpaleke-Ndiokolo- Ogboji flood, erosion and road project; adjudged one of the most dreaded and dilapidated roads and erosion sites in the state.
Speaking to newsmen at Ogboji, Orumba South Council Area, Prince Uchendu revealed that the terrible condition of the road and erosion sites has caused loss of lives and property; as severe gully erosion cuts the road into two; making it impossible for the inhabitants of Ogboji, Ndiokpaleke and Ndiokolo to access their homesteads.
The former Orumba South Council boss, who assured the Governor that the people of the area will cooperate with the Contractors handling the projects to ensure successful completion, enjoined the people of the communities to reciprocate the Governor’s gesture by supporting his reelection.
