Students Of Federal Polytechnic, Oko Restate Confidence In Rector Awuzie, Governing Board

In a reaction to what they described as “uninformed criticism” coming from some stakeholders over her appointment, students of Federal Polytechnic, Oko have passed a vote of confidence on their Rector, Dr. Irene Awuzie, and the Governing Board for the speedy development and revitalization of the institution within short period.

The students, who passed the vote of confidence during a solidarity work within the school premises, appreciated the Rector and the Governing Board for the laudable programmes and policies being implemented in the school.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the President of Students Union Government of the school, Comrade Chinaecherem Odumegwu, said Dr Awuzie merits her appointment as Rector and in the short time she has piloted the affairs of the school has shown her capacity in uplifting the academic and infrastructural fortunes of the institution. 

Responding, the Chairman of the Governing Board of the institution, Senator Barnabas Gemede, thanked the students for the support, saying that he is at peace knowing that the Polytechnic community is solidly behind them.
