Governor Chukwuma Soludo has urged Christians in Anambra State to unite in the face of what he described as a “common enemy” threatening the state’s moral and spiritual fabric.
Speaking to members of Anambra State Chapter of the Christian Council of Nigeria, CCN, at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, Governor Soludo emphasized the urgent need for collaboration among Christian communities to combat idolatry, which he identified as a collective threat.

According to him, Anambra is predominantly a Christian state, calling for a renewed partnership between the government and churches in the ongoing quest for societal rebirth.
While encouraging believers to join hands in fostering a new moral and spiritual landscape in the state, the governor framed idolatry as not only a spiritual issue but also a societal menace that undermines progress and unity, calling upon churches to champion a crusade against such practices in unity of faith and purpose.

The Governor elaborated on his vision for an Anambra where faith informs governance, community life, and personal conduct, saying that his administration’s policies are driven by empathy, soliciting for continued prayers.
Earlier, State Chairman of CCN, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo hinted the Governor that they had toured some of the projects executed by his government including the Solution Fun City and the new Government House and Governor’s Lodge and praised his efforts, even without borrowing a kobo since he assumed office.

He assured the Governor of their continued support and prayer.
Highpoint was prayer for the Governor and the state.
