Children’s Day: Anaocha Council Chairman Ibekwe Asks Parents To Inculcate Moral Values In Children

The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr Romanus Ibekwe, has called on parents to instill in their children moral values such as honesty, faith in God, diligence and respect for their elders for a better future.

Making the call during this year’s children’s day celebration held at Anaocha Local Government Headquarters Neni, Honorable Ibekwe regretted that some parents do not know when their children are out of school because they do not care for them, noting that such will lead to a decayed society.

Contributing, the Deputy Mayor of  Anaocha Local Government Area, Barrister Peter Ememeh, Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anaocha Local Government, Mr Antony Ugorji, and Head of Aniocha Local Government Administration, Doctor Ego Okeke, advised parents to always have close relationship with their children to enable them discuss their private matters with them, even as they encouraged the children to shun violence and crimes so as to be able to accomplish their destinies in life.

Correspondent, Gab Alokwe reports that Christ the King Primary School Obeledu won the first position in Primary Schools match pass competition, while Alpha College Agulu won the first position in Secondary School category.
