Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo, has urged parents, educators, community leaders and all stakeholders to join hands in supporting anti-bullying initiatives.
Speaking at the 2025 Children’s Day celebration at Solution Fun City Awka with the theme; “Stand up, Speak up: Building a bullying-free generation”, Mrs Obinabo explained that bullying is not merely a childhood rite of passage, but a serious issue that can have long-term consequences on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.

Earlier, the Speaker of the Children’s Parliament, Right Honourable Victory Ekwunife, who listed some of the strides and legacies of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, noted that the passage of the Anambra State Correctional Services Bill by the State House of Assembly provides a robust legal framework to support humane and effective management of offenders, including juveniles.

Highlight of the event was the all-round tour of the Solution Fun City by the children, as well as match past by different schools and cultural performances.
