JAMB Receives More Knocks Over Mass Failure In 2025 UTME

A cross section of concerned Nigerians have been calling for the scrapping of Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board, JAMB, because of the recent technical failure which affected over three hundred thousand candidates from Lagos and several states in the South East.
Though most of the affected candidates have resat for the Computer Based Test, CBT, examination over the weekend but the tensions, trauma, resources and life wasted may take years to be gotten over.
The Education Secretary of Diocese of Nnewi, Anglican Communion, Venerable Charles Nnaemeka speaking on the issue, said it is a known fact that no organization is above error but it is quite unfortunate that such technical glitch should be happening in this age, describing it as an indictment against JAMB as the claimed glitches were targeted against a particular section of the country.
On her part, the Principal Community Secondary School, Okoh, Mrs. Ifeoma Enekwechi, said that scrapping of JAMB is not the answer to the technical failure but JAMB should revert back to the era of using pen and paper to write the examinations since it seems Nigeria is not yet ready for CBT examinations.
