Anambra State House of Assembly has resolved a lingering leadership tussle in Trans Nkisi Layout Phase 1, G.R.A. Onitsha, by granting full administrative control to the Association of Landlords in the area.
The decision followed the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Public Petitions, which investigated a petition brought by the Landlords Association against the Association of Land Allottees over control of the estate’s affairs.
Presenting the report during plenary, the Chairman of House Committee on Public Petitions, Barrister Obi Nweke said the committee recommended that all the prayers of the petitioners be granted, insisting that the Landlords Association remains the legitimate body to manage activities within the estate.
In its resolution, the committee declared that the Landlords Association should have one hundred percent control of all affairs and administrative functions in Trans Nkisi Phase 1, among others.
