The Registrar, Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, Mr Ibrahim Ahmed, has inducted one hundred and eleven fresh graduates of Pharmacy from the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam into the council.
Queen Anigbogu reports that in his remark at the 4th Induction and Oath-taking ceremony of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the university which took place at the ETF auditorium, Igbariam campus, during which twenty-eight of the graduands who came out with first class honours were recognized, Mr Ahmed, represented by Mr Anthony Idoko told the inductees that as they take the oath and become members of pharmacy profession, they should maintain high ethical standards and leadership qualities as prescribed by the council, as well as endeavor to be worthy professionals for the achievement of excellence in the provision of quality pharmaceutical services for sustainable health care delivery in Nigeria.

In his address at the event attended by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Kate Omenugha, parents of the graduates, their lecturers, and other guests, the Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the university, Professor Theophine Akunne, said the graduands have undergone intense academic trainings in the faculty for the past five years, and have been certified worthy in character and learning to practice Pharmacy in Nigeria and beyond.

In his valedictory speech, the best graduating student, Mr Emmanuel Ikwuazom, thanked God, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, their parents, among others, for making the day a reality, saying that he and his fellow graduands have developed the skills necessary to excel in their profession.
