Anambra State Government has assured the citizenry of maximum orderliness during the 2025 Egwu Imo Awka Festival, saying that the celebration will not deny individuals of their daily activities.
The Managing Director, Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra State, OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere, gave the assurance while stating plans to ensure that the state capital maintains its peace and tranquility that allow both Awka indigenes and visitor to go about their various businesses and activities without any form of disturbances or harassment.
While felicitating with the Awka community on this year’s celebration, the OCHA Brigade boss charged the community, local government officials and security agencies to be on ground to maintain laid down plans for a successful celebration.
Comrade Anere appealed to parents and guardians to warn their children and wards who have nothing doing on the road to stay away, as the OCHA Brigade will deal decisively with anyone found engaging in extortion, harassment and snatching of valuables from unsuspecting citizens.
