The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra State Council, has presented a confirmation letter to the Director General of the Anambra State Bureau of Public Procurement, Architect Okey Ezeobi, following his emergence as the winner of the keenly contested NUJ Anambra Man of the Year award.
Correspondent Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that presenting the confirmation letter to Architect Ezeobi, the Chairman of NUJ Anambra State Council, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, described the voting process as free and fair, and expressed confidence that the winner would continue to make both the union and the general public proud.
In his response, Architect Ezeobi thanked the union and members of the public for the recognition, pledging to represent well and uphold the ideals of transparency, accountability, and value for money in public sector projects through his leadership at the Bureau of Public Procurement.
The NUJ Anambra Man of the Year is a prestigious annual recognition, open to the public, where individuals are selected through a transparent process to represent the ideals and vision of the union for a full year.
