Ndi Anambra have been called upon to always desilt drainages within their domain.
The state Commissioner for Environment, Engineer Felix Odimegwu who made the call at Onitsha said that in view of the Nigeria Meteorological Agencies prediction that there will be intense rainfall this year, there is need to take proactive measures such that would bring to the barest minimum the impact of the flooding in the state.
Meanwhile, the member representing Idemili South constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe has explained that the Constituency has many erosion sites which Governor Soludo is intervening in.
