Speaking to newsmen after the election held during the general meeting of the board, Reverend Father Doctor Obiorah, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, promised to take the institution to greater heights by boosting her infrastructure and improving the academic learning processes.
Speaking on the outcome of the election, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Eugene Nwadialor, described it as transparent, and congratulated Reverend Father Doctor Obiorah on his new position, expressing optimism that the new Chancellor would perform creditably.
On his part, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Cater Umeoduagu, believed that the new Chancellor would boost infrastructural development of the university.
