Security Summit: Isiagu Community Launches Security Trust Fund

In line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo led administration’s efforts to strengthen community-based security in Anambra State, the Isiagu community in Awka South Local Government Area has organized its maiden security summit during which it inaugurated the Agunechemba Management and Finance Committee and launched a Security Trust Fund to improve security in the area.

In their remarks, the Deputy Speaker, Anambra state House of Assembly, Chief Chukwuma Okoye who is the Member representing Awka South Two constituency and Mayor of Awka-South Local Government Area, Prince Chinedu Okafor commended Ndi Isiagu for keying into the security initiative of the state government.

Earlier, the Interim President General of Isiagu Community Union, Elder Nwabueze Nwokoye, and an illustrious son of the town who is also the Chairman on the occasion, Chief Chukwuebuka Nweke, while speaking on the essence of the security summit themed “Making Isiagu a Secured, Peaceful, and Prosperous Community”, advised all indigenes and non-indigenes of the community engaging in any form of criminality to stop, as his leadership is going to be ruthless in sanitizing the community to make it crime-free.
