At a press conference held Awka, the duo said the land released to the community by the Anambra State Government, which the settlers protested against; followed due processes, noting that the protest was a calculated attempt to blackmail the government and scuttle development strides in the community.
The Chairman of Ozu Ndiukwuenu, Chief Obiora Orji, who spoke through the Secretary, Prince Matthew Nwankwo, and another community leader in the area, Chief Henry Onwurah, maintained that the release of the Ozu Ndiukwuenu land started during the previous administrations and after vetting the processes, the present government continued the release, expressing shock that some group of settlers staged a protest against government action, which they said is counterproductive.
They commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the completion of Ufuma-Awa-Ndiukwuenu-Okpeze road, and reassured him of the support of the people of the area.
