According to the official results, his rival Mr. Sunday Obinze was declared winner with six hundred and one vote, while Mr. Nwakama secured five hundred and fifty-seven votes.
In an interview after the announcement, Mr. Nwakama described the election as neither free nor fair, citing lack of transparency in the vote-counting process.
In a response, Mr. Obinze expressed satisfaction with the election’s outcome and assured the community of his commitment to unite and include all parties in his plans.
