Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has asked Principals in the state to shun all forms of sharp practices in their various schools, and combine efforts with the government to actualize the objectives of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in education sector.
Correspondent Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that Professor Chuma-Udeh, who gave the instruction during the 2025 Principals’ annual retreat organized by the Post Primary Schools Service Commission in Awka with the theme; “Effective School Governance and Policy Implementation in Anambra State”, commended the Principals for their efforts in helping to reposition the state education system.

Addressing the Principals who were drawn from schools across the state, the PPSSC Chairman, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, reminded them that effective governance is not merely about rules and structures, but about fostering accountability, transparency, innovation and holistic development of every child under their watch.

On her part, the Chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, charged the Principals to be good representatives of the Soludo administration, monitor government projects in their schools and report incompetence of contractors handling the projects for prompt action by the government.
