Organisers of the 2025 Ofala Festival of Onitsha Ado Na Idu Kingdom have released the programme of events for this year’s celebrations, scheduled to hold between October seven and November second 2025.
Speaking at a media briefing held at the press conference hall Ime Obi Onitsha, the Chairman of the Strategic Marketing and Communications Sub-Committee, Nnaemeka Maduegbune, outlined activities lined up for the annual cultural fiesta, which will include the Obi of Onitsha’s royal parade, traditional dances and colourful displays by age-grade societies.

The Head of Marketing, Onitsha Zone of Globacom Nigeria Limited, Sola Mogaji, said that the 2025 Ofala Festival will not only be a cultural celebration but also a rallying point for unity, promotion and socio-economic development, adding that as part of Glo’s commitment to the festival, customers will have opportunities to win exciting prizes, including a brand-new tricycle, during the celebrations.
This year’s festival, with the theme “Njiko na Ntachi”, will feature a lecture series, medical outreach and other cultural activities.
