Addressing the journalists after the sensitization exercise, the Area Manager National Inland Waterways Authority, Onitsha area office, Mr. Suleman Nicholas spoke extensively on their efforts in educating and enlightening boat operators and passengers on the importance of using life jacket while travelling.
One of the captains at the Asaba waterfront Mr Peter Okenye appealed to the Government to assist them by subsidizing the costs of life jackets.
