The town hall meeting convened to give account of his three years in office was more like a family meeting; as the Governor’s statements were interjected with shouts of joy and applauses.
For many, it was not just about listening to the Governor’s speech, but also hearing how their lives have been touched positively with better roads in their communities, return of peace in previously troubled areas, job creation and digital transformation.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Soludo said that since 2006, he had envisioned recreating Anambra to become a destination point rather than a departure lounge, and called for all hands to be on deck in developing the state, adding that Anambra in the next fifty years may have up to fifty million people.
