Town Hall Meeting: Soludo Calls For Collective Action To Transform Anambra To Destination Point

Ndi Anambra in Abuja, yesterday, gathered in their numbers to receive Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who upon arrival at the event in Wuse Zone 7 took to the podium, not just as a leader, but as a son of the soil reporting back to his people.

The town hall meeting convened to give account of his three years in office was more like a family meeting; as the Governor’s statements were interjected with shouts of joy and applauses.

For many, it was not just about listening to the Governor’s speech, but also hearing how their lives have been touched positively with better roads in their communities, return of peace in previously troubled areas, job creation and digital transformation.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Soludo said that since 2006, he had envisioned recreating Anambra to become a destination point rather than a departure lounge, and called for all hands to be on deck in developing the state, adding that Anambra in the next fifty years may have up to fifty million people.
