Leading the inspection, the Chairman of the Committee and member representing Orumba South Constituency, Engineer Emma Nwafor, noted that the projects are part of the state government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring better connectivity in rural and urban areas, stating that the Igboukwu to Ekwulummili road spans approximately three point five kilometers, while the Azigbo-Awkaetiti-Amichi road covers four kilometers.
He noted that the materials used is of high quality and urged the contractors to maintain the tempo and complete the projects within the specified timeframe.
In his remarks, the member representing Nnewi South Constituency One, Honourable Nonso Atuchukwu, described the roads as highly significant to his constituents and Ndi Anambra in general, while, appreciating Governor Soludo for his commitment to infrastructural development and prioritizing the needs of rural communities in the state.
In their reactions, one of the contractors Engineer Augustine Nwafor, handling the projects, commended the state government for its support and assured the Committee that the projects would be delivered according to specifications.
