Anambra State Govt To Upgrade Chinua Achebe International Passenger And Cargo Airport

Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor has inspected facilities at the Chinua Achebe International Passenger and Cargo Airport, Umueri and restates State government’s efforts to further upgrade them to improved standards, safety and services at the airport.
The Commissioner was received by the Managing Director of the Airport, Mr. Martin Nwafor during the visit.

The Information Commissioner, Dr. Mefor commended Mr. Nwafor and his team for their efforts in ensuring that the airport is run efficiently notwithstanding the challenges.

Welcoming the Commissioner and his entourage, Mr. Nwafor said that the airport which began operations in December, 2021 boasts of the best firefighting trucks and a runway of three point five kilometers with a capacity to land any seize of airplane.
